Casio introduced the metal-covered GMC-2500 and resin GAC-2500, both built around a rounded-square case that references the first G-Shock from 1983. The analog layouts replace a conventional date aperture with a three-cell Multi-Mission Date display.

The watches include a fully automatic calendar and a small-seconds subdial that stops when the watch enters sleep mode. Casio says the curved case surfaces and dial furniture are intended to reinterpret the original's layered geometry rather than reproduce its digital display.
