Airbus prepares a decision on more A350 production capacity

Airbus expects to decide on increased A350 capacity relatively soon, Wagner told reporters in Toulouse. Its existing assembly line was designed for 12 to 13 aircraft per month; moving beyond that would require a new line and industrial system.

The remarks do not establish an approved expansion, spending amount or new production timetable. Airbus is also studying larger A350 and A220 variants.
