Anduril introduces Steelfin interceptor family for layered air defence

Reuters reported that the family uses a common production approach and is designed around a two-stage architecture. Anduril said it wants a single line capable of producing several thousand interceptors a year, though that output target has not yet been demonstrated.

The company said ballistic testing has been completed and flight testing is planned for next year. Steelfin therefore remains a development programme rather than an operational capability, and its eventual performance and procurement prospects will depend on later trials and customer decisions.
