Avolon said it agreed to order 140 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, 75 Airbus A320neo-family jets and 35 Airbus A330neos. The package is the largest order the Dublin-based lessor has placed with either manufacturer and also includes options for 100 additional, unspecified Airbus aircraft.

The transaction would lift Avolon's orderbook to 749 aircraft in addition to the 561 it owns. The orders remain subject to approval by majority shareholder Bohai Leasing, which Avolon expects before the end of October.
