Daniel Roth's Extra Plat Rose Gold Gilt, reference DBBD04A1, uses an 18-karat rose-gold double-ellipse case and a black-and-gilt dial cut from a solid-gold base, Watches by SJX reported. Black electroplating leaves the base metal visible for the markings, preserving the contrast associated with gilt watchmaking.

The manual-wind DR002 movement runs at 4 Hz and offers a 65-hour power reserve. The case measures 38.6 by 35.5 millimeters and 7.7 millimeters thick; the non-limited model is priced at CHF55,000 before tax.
