Opened on October 9, the Turin site is Edgewing’s first additional engineering hub outside its Reading headquarters. The Aviationist reported that staff from the three partner countries will work there on the Global Combat Air Programme’s multinational aircraft design.
Edgewing’s own announcement said the program is intended to sustain thousands of high-skill jobs across Italy, Japan and the United Kingdom. The facility’s importance is organizational: it creates a shared engineering location for translating a multinational program into integrated systems.
