Mercedes-Benz said third-quarter deliveries in its core car business fell 8% from a year earlier to 407,200 vehicles. China sales dropped 31% to 86,800 and deliveries in the Top-End segment declined 21% to 53,900, while the United States grew 6% and Europe gained 5%.
Across cars and vans, battery-electric vehicle sales increased 52% to 78,100 units. The figures show a product-mix transition inside a company still exposed to weaker luxury demand and model changeovers in its largest Asian market.
