Mistral releases Large 4 for local cybersecurity work

The French startup said the model can help identify and fix vulnerabilities and can operate without depending on a third-party hosted service. It described the release as an upgrade informed by testing with government and corporate users.

Mistral called Large 4 its most capable openly available cybersecurity model. Reuters noted the trade-off: downloadable weights reduce the risk of access being withdrawn, but once released they cannot be contained.
