Xpeng plans to offer technology to foreign automakers beyond Volkswagen as it looks for new revenue streams, two people familiar with the matter told Reuters. The package is expected to cover electrical and electronic architecture, cockpit systems, Turing AI chips and advanced-driver assistance software.
The company is also considering licensing and customisation for robotaxis, robotics and other physical-AI applications. Xpeng’s services and other revenue nearly doubled in the second quarter, while the segment margin rose to 75.1% from 53.6% a year earlier; Reuters said the company remained loss-making in the first two quarters.
